Israel to free Palestinian prisoners to restart talks

We’re at the same place we were last week. Middle East peace talks could any moment.

Reports as I write this in the pre-dawn hours of Monday are that talks will begin in Washington on Monday evening.

The road here was hard for Israelis, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet decided to release 104 Palestinians prisoners as a good will gesture. Palestinians approve and vow to free more. Some Israelis protested the move.

Even before the cabinet voted, Netanyahu released a letter explaining the need to restart talks and the compromise required. You can read the letter in full at Arutz 7.

Meanwhile, Egypt may be on the brink of civil war as the military can’t get a handle on the protestors. The Muslim Brotherhood accused the military of massacring scores of demonstrators.  I expect to post Rick Riding’s prophetic analysis and prayer points on Egypt later this week.

And, as always, the persecution of believers in Jesus continues worldwide. Please click on the #Church section below to remember and pray for our hurting brothers.

Paper.li works a little like a newspaper. It categorizes the news into topics and is interactive. Click a topic on the right-hand column to “flip the page” and see another set of headlines. #Church includes headlines about persecution of the brothers. #Israel as all stories about “the apple of God’s eye.” #Matthew24 highlight end-time birth pangs detailed by Jesus.
