Scientists clone human embryos for stem cells

Sadly, the killing continues in Syria. So does the persecution of the Body of Messiah in diverse places. The stories are becoming almost routine, which is bad for the victims, the journalists, the readers and the intercessors.

So the red flag and warning shout that should snap many of us out of our stupor is the news that human embryos have been successfully cloned. Add to this that they were promptly destroyed to harvest stem cells. I’ll let you read up on the details.

Also on the move is the legalization of homosexual marriage, with France and Minnesota adding themselves to the list.

We have a bit of encouragement from the persecuted church.  A missionary group serving the Middle East and the family of Iranian Pastor Saeed Abedini report that prayers are being answered. Abedini reportedly came out of solitary confinement with much joy. In Syria, a missing missionary was found alive and well after 8 weeks.

Matthew 24 gives us Jesus’ own words on His return. He gives us the signs of the end of the age. He also says his coming will be as in the “days of Noah.”

But when that day and hour will come, no one knows — not the angels in heaven, not the Son, only the Father. For the Son of Man’s coming will be just as it was in the days of Noach. Back then, before the Flood, people went on eating and drinking, taking wives and becoming wives, right up till the day Noach entered the ark; and they didn’t know what was happening until the Flood came and swept them all away. It will be just like that when the Son of Man comes. (Matthew 24:36-29 CJB)

“They didn’t know what was happening.” Really? Noach had been building the ark for at least 100 years, warning the people to repent (Genesis 5, 6, 7).  They still didn’t know.

The followers of Yeshua Messiah have been saying for nearly 2,000 years to repent because He’s returning. Still, many won’t know what is happening.

By referencing Noah, Jesus is also implying the level of wickedness that will inhabit the earth at the end.

ADONAI saw that the people on earth were very wicked, that all the imaginings of their hearts were always of evil only. (Genesis 6:5)

The earth was corrupt before God, the earth was filled with violence. (Genesis 6:11)

The creation of life to destroy it (whatever the reason) is evil imagining and high violence. Legalizing what God said is wrong is corrupt. The Days of Noah may be upon us.

Paper.li works a little like a newspaper. It categorizes the news into topics and is interactive. Click a topic on the right-hand column to “flip the page” and see another set of headlines. #Church includes headlines about persecution of the brothers. #Israel as all stories about “the apple of God’s eye.” #Matthew24 highlight end-time birth pangs detailed by Jesus.

  1. Man playing GOD! History attests, even to unbelievers, that the idea that the ends justify the means is immoral. The repercussions of human cloning are immense both physically and spiritually.
