Explosive week sets U.S. on edge

What a week! Boston was attacked then on lockdown for most of the week. West, a small town in central Texas, suffered a massive explosion in which 14 died and as many as 80 homes were destroyed.

My spirit reaction at the end of week, was “All flesh is grass.”

There was other news.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is trying to raise urgency for settling the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Meanwhile, the U.S. government has just given $123 million of body armor, armored vehicles and other non-lethal aid to the Syrian opposition.

While I don’t give a lot of credence to what Syrian President Bashar Assad says, his warning that the West will pay for backing al-Qaeda rang prophetic. Assad uttered his warning because last week one particular rebel group officially partnered with al-Qaeda in Iraq (the leader of the rebel group later backtracked the claim.)

Please don’t forget the our brothers who suffer prison, torture and even murder for their claiming and proclaiming Jesus Messiah.

Paper.li works a little like a newspaper. It categorizes the news into topics and is interactive. Click a topic on the right-hand column to “flip the page” and see another set of headlines. #Church includes headlines about persecution of the brothers. #Israel as all stories about “the apple of God’s eye.” #Matthew24 highlight end-time birth pangs detailed by Jesus.
