While Hurricane Isaac and the Republican National Convention were the big news Stateside, seemingly smaller developments in the Middle East and elsewhere continue to add up.

The highlight of the week was the Non-Aligned Movement summit in Tehran, Iran. It provided the usual anti-Israel spew and two surprises: the United Nations chief told the hosts to stop threatening Israel and the Egyptian president contradicted Iran’s narrative on Syria AND Islam.

Paper.li works a little like a newspaper. It categorizes the news into topics and is interactive. Click a topic on the right-hand column to “flip the page” and see another set of headlines. #Church includes headlines about persecution of the brothers. #Israel has all stories about “the apple of God’s eye.”
