I know I owe y’all a news update this week. So, here’s the deal. I’m going to give you a ‘Roaming Chile’ update… and if you are in the El Paso area, you can get the news update live at the Justice House of Prayer.
Things are crazy busy as I try to prepare for my trip. Visits with friends and supporters have been interspersed with time with family and pre-packing (which started well but has not gone as well as hoped).
I fly out for the UK early next week. After two weeks there, I head to Israel for a conference and some time in the house of prayer. September is setting up to be an exciting news month in Israel, so I eagerly anticipate reporting to you the view from the ground as well as first-hand missives from intercessors in the region.
Beti Stanghellini, director of the Justice House of Prayer – El Paso, asked me to give a news update to the intercessors in the Borderland. So, Saturday, I will be sharing at JHOP. I encourage you to come, not to hear me speak, but to meet to Beti and other intercessors in the region with a heart and burden for El Paso, Juarez and the nations.
WHAT: Israel Intercessor News Update
WHEN: 7 p.m., Saturday, July 23
WHERE: Justice House of Prayer – El Paso, 1317 E. Missouri Ave.
So, why news and Bible study and prayer? God says in Hosea 4:6 that his people die because they lack knowledge. Knowing world events clues us in to where we are on the Biblical, prophetic time line. News should prompt us to pray for two things: that the eyes of the lost and deceived are opened to God’s love as expressed through the life and death and life of Yeshua and that God’s Kingdom come on earth.
Why so focus on Israel? God always meant Israel to be an example to the nations, an example of His righteousness, His justice, His mercy, His love. She is also a signpost. Consider this. Zion, God’s other name of Jerusalem, means “signpost.” Messiah draws nigh. The events in Zion speak to that.
Come hear what’s happening in and around Zion. My hope is to prompt you to study and pray.
